Often times it is difficult for vocational rehabilitation staff to help those with serious, long term mental illness obtain and maintain successful employment in the community.
This teleconference will explore some of the key concepts of Psychiatric Vocational Rehabilitation including: using values, past experiences, preferences and parameters, and identifying client’s strengths, and weaknesses in vocational goal setting. It will also focus on needed skills and supports to assist them in choosing, getting, and keeping jobs in the community
This Program is Designed For: Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, Counseling Assistants, and other Vocational Staff who prepare clients for employment
