Post Placement Issues for Consumers with Mental Illness and Chemical Addiction (Teleconference)
Description:
Often times staff do not feel adequately prepared to provide support for persons with multiple complicating vocational barriers. This teleconference will focus on providing strategies for staff to use with consumers who are dealing with Mental Health and Chemical Dependency issues. The training will focus on: effective communication with consumers, co-workers, and employers, legal issues, program sobriety requirements, and challenging behaviors that interfere with consumer success on the job.
This Program is Designed For: Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors, Supervisors, Counseling Assistants, CRP Staff.
